Prostate Cancer |
The spread of prostate Cancer12/15/2008 |
Could you outline the path that prostate cancer will spread? As in to the lymph nodes then bone then which organ are affected next. Thank you
The most likely places prostate cancer spreads are to the lymph nodes in the pelvis (near the prostate as opposed to lymph nodes in very distant places) and to bones (bones of the pelvis, spine, ribs and parts of the long bones near the shoulder and hips as opposed to the knee down or the elbow out). Most people have the vast majority of the spread of their prostate cancer to the places mentioned above, but a few will develop prostate cancer in the lungs and even fewer in the liver.
