Does Effexor Affect Sperm Count?11/25/2008 12:27PM |
I was wondering if Effexor would have any effect on sperm count? My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year and so far no luck. Have you ever heard of Effexor having this effect?
I am only familiar with this side effect as a theoretical one in animals. I would not recommend stopping your antidepressant but would recommend you and your wife be tested by a fertility specialist to determine sperm count and motility as well as your wife's status. After that evaluation, I would then consider the options with you physician.
