Reversal of colostomy12/29/2008 |
I am a 43-year-old male and had an emergency colostomy last April (it is now December). The doctor will not perform the surgery to reverse the colostomy until I completely pay him off for the first surgery. My question is this: How long can I go with a colostomy before it is irreversible?
A colostomy can be in place for many years and still be closed successfully.
