01/05/2009

Question:

I take premerin & have for 3-4 yrs now,my mind is playing with me. I have a follow up 6 months, I know that benign is good but Scared because of ignorance of not really understanding what to expect and my fear is cancer , the node is on the left side not under the arm pit but on chest wall area does that mean problems?

Answer:

This does not sound concerning. Mammogram and ultrasound are pretty good, and “benign” means non-cancerous. Lymph node on the chest wall is a little unusual but not worrisome.
