Can Paxil Cause Pain or Pressure in the Back of the Head?

12/29/2008

Question:

I have been takeing Paxil since February this year and also in past with pauses between use. I started to have pain or rather intensive pressure in the back of my head for last 3 days (lower part close to neck for prolonged time 24 h a day). I am on 20 mg right now. Thanks.

Answer:

It would be uncommon for chronic use of paxil to cause such pain. I would recommend medical evaluation as soon as possible given the severity of this pain.
