DVTs, PEs, and bibasilar atelectasis12/30/2008 |
I have had 11 dvt`s and 5 pe`s and do not test positive for factor V. I now have been diagnosed with atalectasis of the lungs. Can the DVT`S I have had caused this?
Yes, atelectasis can be caused by pulmonary emboli. Although it often resolves as the pulmonary are treated, sometimes the atelectasis can be permanent.
