Sphincterectomy01/05/2009 |
I had a sphincterectomy about 15 months ago to cure a fissure. it took several months before I started to feel better. I was feeling good for the past 12 months until recently. I had a bout of diaherra one day and right after that I started to have a burning sensation and ache identical to what I experienced immediately after the initially surgery. Is it possible that the muscle was strained as a result of the diaherra to cause this sensation. I would have thought that after 12 months that the muscle would have been completely healed unless there is a weakness that is the result of scar tissue.
It is possible to develop another fissure after sphincterotomy with anal trauma.
