Bottom row teeth, feeling a gap sensation...

01/05/2009

Question:

I feel a gap sensation on the bottom row left area near the my front two tooth. Also my bottom row of teethes seem like they are pointing inward to the roof of my mouth. I hardly brush but I made a new year resolution to start brushing again. Is this something I should see a Dentist about?

Answer:

Absolutely. As you age, your back teeth on the bottom push forward. If you have bone loss in the front area of your mouth, the teeth can move quite a bit.

By the way, this is a wonderful New Year's resolution.
