Lymphedema02/25/2009 |
My husband is a breast cancer survivor. He also developed lymphedema and wears an arm sleeve and hand gaultlet. He now develops intense pain in his hand where the hand gets stiff, extremely painful, and he can`t made any hand movements. Could this be trigger finger and what are his options--no longer wear the gauntlet as this may be causing some harm to the hand?
Most likely this is not trigger finger. He may have started to develop neuropathy, or the increased pressure because of the edema may have caused this intense pain in the hand. I suggest your husband see his physician ASAP, and if possible get a referral to a pain specialist.
