Can seizures be brought on by stress?

Question:
My 21 year old daughter has epilepsy and is on good medication. She has never had a seizure while on the medication. But now, since she started on-line college classes, is planning her wedding, and also works two jobs, she keeps having small seizures. She is still on the medication. Can “stress” bring on seizures to a person with epilepsy?
Answer:
Stress is a known potential trigger for many patients with epilepsy. However, it is never safe to assume that stress was the only reason for a breakthrough seizure.
