Bowel impaction01/30/2009 |
my nephew was born with down syndrome,he was also born without a rectum. the dr`s performed surgery and actually made his rectum. However, this little guy is almost 5 years old and he is constantly battling to use the bathroom. He has had several surgeries and had to have impactions removed. What could the problem be and what can we do as his family to help him? Is the problem in his diet,because he also has problems with dairy products but I have trouble getting people to listen to me. Thank You
I would refer you to the gastroenterologist/GI surgeon who has taken care of him to address your questions more accurately.
