Oxygen level in lungs01/29/2009 |
If your lower lung oxygen level is 63% is that bad?
If this measurement was obtained by pulse oximeter (the finger probe), then 63% is very low and one would require supplemental oxygen. But if this is the partial pressure of oxygen in the blood and obtained from an arterial blood gas (usually involving a needle stick in the wrist), then this is not so "bad" and supplemental oxygen may not be required.
