Perimenopause and yeast infections02/10/2009 |
My doctor told me that I am going through perimenopause even though I am 35 years old. Since I started I have had 2 yeast infections. I have never had any kind of infections before. Does being in perimenopause make me easier to get infections then before?
Perimenopause should not increase your risk for vaginitis. 2 yeast infections are not uncommon in reproductive age women. If you continue to have frequent recurrences, you should follow up with your gynecologist.
