Coming off anesthesia02/17/2009 |
Is there anyway to get the anesthesia through your system faster? In other words get rid of the numb faster.
There is a new medication that just came out that speeds the offset of "numbness". It cuts the typical lip or tongue numbness from 3 hours to 2 hours or less. It is called Oraverse. Other than this, some local anesthetics without epinephrine have a somewhat shorter duration of soft tissue anesthesia. And lastly, having your dentist use the smallest amount to achieve numbness for the duration of the intended procedure can help. Good luck.
