Excess skin under tongue02/18/2009 |
my husband has discovered excess skin under his tongue. It looks like a small flap of skin. This extra flap of skin does not irritate him, nor is it hurting him at the moment, there seems to be no white puss in it, he has no oral piercings, and this happened overnight. what can this extra skin be a result of? is it something serious that needs to be surgically removed? How can we get rid of the excess skin?
This is probably normal. It is called a lingual frenum. You can have your local dentist check it.
