Esophagus and Chest Irritation04/09/2009 |
For the last few weeks I have had a problem as if I have a blockage in my throat, irritation in my chest as if it is congested, and irritation just above my stomach. I have tried anti acid and digestion medicines but it keeps coming back. I am belching a lot. Is I am presently overseas and cannot find an English speaking doctor. I wondered if you could help?
Does a blockage in your throat mean you're having problems swallowing? I'd also like to know which acid medications you're taking, how often, and how you're taking the medications. Most acid suppressing medications work best if they are taken 30 minutes before eating. Have you tried anything like Simethicone or Gas-X for the belching?
