Actonel and Tooth Extraction03/03/2009 |
I need an extraction of the no. 14 molar. I am on Actonel and my dentist wants me to stay off of Actonel for three mnths before he extracts the tooth. Then to stay of the med for another three months for a good healing. Does this sound right?
You will need to contact your physician to get approved before you stop taking the medication. Six months seems to be to long or even unnecessary. You should have a second opinion by an oral surgeon. They have more experience with patients under special medications.
