Injury front tooth RCT being done03/09/2009 |
3 months ago a boy jumped up under my chin, split my lip and 3 weeks after that I got painful front tooth. Went to dentist and started root canal therapy. (did not get abcess). I had it cleaned out, left 5 weeks, went back last week and tooth still sore when tapped, or I laugh, or rub above my lip,the pain seems to be felt in the end of my tooth.Dentist cleaned out again, said come back in 4weeks time. He thought he might have to send me to specialist. Can a tooth take some time to settle down after an injury? I am concerned as to how many times I let the dentist clean out the root. I do want to keep this tooth. Thanking you very much for your opinion. Kind regards.
Teeth can have varying reactions to trauma. I would recommend that you seek an evaluation by an endodontist.
