Cancers of the Anus and Rectum

Question:

What causes malignant tumors of anus or rectum to bleed and do they bleed intermittently or persistently?

Answer:

They can bleed for several reasons: thinned blood, firm stools, tumor cells eroding blood vessels, and can ooze continuosly or intermittently.
