Losing a temp filling

03/19/2009

Question:

I just had a root canal yesterday and I haven’t chewed on that side, but part of my temporary filling has already come out. Should I be worried?

Answer:

It is common for part of a temporary filling to come out. It is usually fine as long as the bulk of it is still there. If you are concerned, you should speak with your endodontist or dentist.
