Splitting headaches & lip eruptions04/23/2009 |
My sister had a thymectomy in her early 20`s & now @ 49 is experiencing extreme splitting headaches & pain between lip & chin which causes severe lower lip eruptions for past 10 months - CT of brain was normal. Could these symptoms be from the thymectomy done or return of myasthenia gravis?
No. The thymectomy should have been much lower than this. This is also not part of myasthenia, nor a return of myasthenia. Myasthenia is painless. I would suggest seeing an infectious disease doctor and the primary care physician. This could be a form of herpes or another process.
