High iron blood count04/09/2009 |
I have just had a Glucose Tolerance test, which came back as 10.5 and my iron count was 190, what does this mean? Age being 58 female and high blood pressure? thank you
Answer:
Although I am not able to comment on your glucose tolerance test, your iron count does appear to be a little on the high side. Repeating the total iron binding capacity and ferritin level would be reasonable follow up just to make sure iron overload is not present.
