Cosmetic temporary after open and drain? 03/30/2009

Question:

My nephew had his front tooth broken in an accident. The dentist performed an open and drain. My nephew was sent home with obviously broken tooth to wait a month and a half to finish the rootcanal. This was the doctor`s first available appointment. Could some kind of cosmetic temporary be done to get him by this month and a half? He is very self conscious of his broken tooth. Thanks!

Answer:

I cannot speak to the services offered by your provider but sometimes a large, temporary filling can be placed to help with aesthetics.
