Can you please explain to me what this MRI means?FINDINGS:
There is loss of lumbar lordosis with straightening of spine. L4-5 & L5-S1 lunbar intervertebral discs exhibit signal changes - S/O desiccation.
Left paracentral focal protrusion of L4-5 disc is noted, compressing the thecal sac & traversing left L5 nerve root in the canal.
Diffuse bulge of L5-S1 disc is noted, indenting both S1 roots in the canal. No significant nerve root compression Or displacement. Bilateral multilevel early facetal, degenerative changes are noted. No significant ligamentum flavum thickening.
Rest of the intervertebral discs are normal in height, contour & signal characteristics.
Lumbar Canal diameters at disc level are as follows:
L2-3-----17mm L3-4-----17mm L4-5---- 09mm L5-S1----09mm
The vertevral bodies are normal in height, morphology & signal characteristics. No evidence of spondylolisthsis. No abnormal pre or paravertebral soft tissue.
