Crowns04/08/2009 |
I need to have 4 crowns completed; however insurance will only cover the cost of 2 this year. Is it possible to wait until next year until getting the other 2 completed. Thanks
The simple answer is that "yes" you can wait and insurance will pay again the following year. However, the question then arises as to what risk you take by doing so. This answer lies in the reason that the crowns are being recommended. If it is only a cosmetic reason, there may be little risk. However, if crowns are recommended because the teeth are weak and at risk for fracture without a crown, then it may not be worth allowing the insurance company to dictate treatment with arbitrary rules established only for their financial gain.
