Broken baby tooth04/15/2009 |
my 10yld has broken one of his baby teeth which had a filling in it, the root is still in his gum & he is not in any pain should he still be seen
Thank you for the question. Yes, he should be seen. It's impossible to tell just from looking 'how much' of the root is still present. While it may just be a tooth that's ready to come out, a dentist can tell you if there is a piece of the tooth that remains and needs to be removed. In the late or chronic stages of dental infection there may in fact be no pain, but this can vary. Hope this helps.
