Head and Neck Cancer

Lump on Neck...

05/12/2009

Question:

About a month ago my left side of my neck started to hurt having all the symptoms of a pinched nerve. Well it lasted about 2 weeks but ever since I thought I had a pinched nerve, I noticed a lump on the left side of my neck that will sometimes come and go... When the lump is there it doesn`t hurt but causes a discomfort to that side of my neck and a little to my whole arm.

Answer:

You are not giving us all the information. In general any lump or bump in the neck that has been present for more than 2 weeks should be looked at by a physician. There are a lot of possibilities as to what this could be. The bottom line is that this is not normal and should be checked. See your physician.
