Symptoms of pulmonary hypertension/echocardio

04/20/2009

Question:

I have been having heart palpitations, fatigue and weakness. My holter monitor showed 17,000 irregular heartbeats in 24 hours and my echo had a pulmonary artery pressure of 31. The endocrinologist said it is not my thyroid should i have a heart cath pressure reading?

Answer:

The symptoms of fatigue and palpitation could be related to pulmonary hypertension or other condtions . I would encourage you to discuss the results with your primary care physician and cardiologist.
