Our best firend has been diagnosed with adrenal cancer. A very large tumor was removed in Dec. 2008. Recent PET scan indicated a large mass (lymph nodes) now pressing on spine and spot on his lung. The patient is 47 year old male. No much info available and doctor not sure on course of treatment. Currently radiation is on the lymph node area. Please, any info you have, we desparately need.
Currently in 2009 there is NO good treatment for this kind of cancer. The best results to date have been at the Cleveland Clinic with the combination of Sutent and Avastin. I am uncertain if the trial has reopened or not. Otherwise going on a clinical trial may be the best approach. Standard chemo gives side effects with no real benefits.
