Lump Inside Lip from Accidental Biting05/15/2009 |
I bit the inside of my lip while chewing. I`ve been waiting for it to go away (1yr maybe more) but every so often I bite it again. The lump keeps grownig from scraping my lip and now I have a 4-5mm mass that is in my smile and I am self-conscious about. It seems if I get rid of it that would lessen the probability of biting it. How do I remove it? Would silver-nitrate sticks help? Who do I see? Thank you.
It sounds like you have developed an irritation fibroma. It is not serious and can be removed by your dentist if he/she does these procedures. If not, an oral surgeon can remove it for you.The silver nitrate sticks will not help it if it is an irritation fibroma.
