Redness around areola06/01/2009 |
I have a red spot bordering the areola of my right breast. It isnt` around the whole breast just on the left side of the areola of the right breast. It`s been there for a month now. It does not itch/burn/hurt, it`s just there. There is no scaling/flaking. Should I be concerned? I have been reading up on Paget`s disease. I`m hoping and praying that it`s not that. Any assistance you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
This does not sound like Paget's disease particularly, but any new change in the skin or color of the breast or nipple should be checked by a dermatologist (skin specialist), your gynecologist, or a breast or general surgeon.
