Microalbumin06/23/2009 |
Am having a 24 hour urine test because the urinalysis showed 10 on protein and 50 on creatinine. Everything else in test was negative. The alb cre ratio showed abnormal. I am diabetic, high b.p. and cholesterol - all is under control. My question is are there medicines for microalbumin besides ACE inhibitors? I am taking lisinopril which is an ACE inhibitor, but wondered if there are other meds besides dialysis etc. for this condition. Thanks
The most important factors are good bp control and good sugar control. ACE-inhibitors are part of the management. Set reasonable goals with your doctor. There is no magic bullet!
