Knee Hyper Extension

06/15/2009

Question:

I hyper extended my knee is a low speed motorcycle lay down. I had a good amount of pain initially and iced the knee area immediately. It is the day after and I am starting to get swelling in my upper calf, I was wondering if this was due to the muscle being injured or what. I did feel a pretty good pop when I landed and had trouble walking, the pain is mostly gone and my knee is stiff for the most part. Any ideas?
