Dental Anesthesia |
Novocaine06/17/2009 |
I had four teeth pulled late wednesday and had many shots of novacaine, my chin and bottom lip is still numb. Is this normal?
Persistent numbness following tooth extraction can be caused by the local anesthesia or due to the surgery itself. Although not frequent, it is somewhat common to have prolonged numbness in this region. You should contact your dentist to be evaluated for this so he or she can diagnose what is the likely cause.
