My mammogram showed microcalcalcification

Question:

Mamogram showed microcalcalcifications and am being sent for a breast biopsy by sterotactic. I am very concerned. The chances of it being cancer. I have loss 3 family members to cancer. Thank you for your help

Answer:

Many microcalcifications are benign, but the biopsy is necessary and should be done stereotactically when possible.
