Ankles pop06/30/2009 |
19 yr old. danced as a child played sports, her job and school keep her on her feet a lot. Ankles have popped since she was young - more so now. No pain, but annoying and keeping her from sleeping `cause she feels the need to "pop" her ankles frequently. Was told as a child she has severs disease but isn`t that heel related? What can she do to releave this?
It is common for people to notice a "pop" in joints such as ankles and knees. Often this sensation is not a source of concern as long as there is no associated pain with the pop or other joint symptoms. If the "pop" has increased and/or is interfering with sleep, it would be best to follow up with your health care professional.
