Nonstop bleeding

06/29/2009

Question:

I am 46 years old. I have an IUD, which was replaced in March 2007. Now I have non-stop bleeding. 2 months after my period ended in March, it came back in May. The first few days it was just light bleeding, and then it became normal. It lasted about 10 days. 2 days after it came again with light bleeding for 2 weeks. On June 8, I saw my gynecologist for a regular exam once a year. I had Pap smear, and the result is good (if not good, the doctor would contact me). The bleeding has not stopped. From this week it became a bit more but not heavy, one pad a day. But I don’t have any symptoms (no pain). Would you please let me know what I should do? Thanks a lot.

Answer:

You need to return to your doctor and be examined.
