Pediatric colonoscope07/09/2009 |
I recently had a colonoscopy. I am female, 57 years. REcommendation next time is to use a pediatric colonoscope. What is the difference between that procedure and the one I had?
A pediatric colonoscope is narrower in caliber than an adult colonoscope, and will be used if the colon is difficult to navigate or narrowed for some reason.
