Breast nodule07/09/2009 |
i had my very first mammogram and ultrasound around 6 months ago they found 3 nodules in my left breast. i just went back a week ago and they said everything looked stabile no change. i received a letter from advanced radiology where i have the test saying that there is a area that needs short term follow up so they now what to see me in 4 months instead of 6. i am flipping out. i am 38 yrs of age.
Radiologists tend to be very conservative when it comes to nodules. Most nodules that are classified in this way are in fact benign, but we don't like to wait an entire year between evaluations, just to be on the safe side.
