Urinary and Genital Disorders (Children)
My son is 8. His penis goes all the way in when he is relaxed. Ot does become erect as well esp in the mornings whn he wakes up, but the fact that it goes all the way in is a cause of concern for us. Kindly advise on what to do. Will it affect hs sexual performance whn he grows up?
It sounds like your son has a hidden penis, which is a common problem in boys. Often the penis retracts into the suprapubic fat, and it is obscured, although the penis is normal in length. When these boys go through puberty, usually it has a normal appearance. Function is normal also. However, in boys and men who are overweight, the suprapubic fat pad can obscure the penis; for every 35 lb. that a man is overweight, one inch of the penis is obscured.
