Hemophilia and Inherited Bleeding Disorders

Low platelet count

06/30/2009

Question:

I am a white male, 46 years old, 5`09" 160 lbs. I recently had my annual physical and my platelet count was 95, White Blood Count 2.2 and Eosinophils 0.6. All other counts are normal. I have had a low WBC for 15 years (so does my sister). I do not bleed excessively as this low platelet count would indicate, in fact I appear to bleed normally. However, I have had very small red dots on my torso for years (20+). I also have psoriasis (20 + years)which I have been treating by drinking fresh vegetable juice (carrot, beet & cucumber) 3 times a day for the last 6 months with good results. Thank you.
