Strong Urine Smell

Question:

Have been treated multiple times for bacterial vaginitis and trich for several years. The symptoms persist. I still have foul smelling urine. I`m embarassed to use public bathrooms because the smell lingers.

Answer:

Urine is usually odorless unless it is infected, alkaline or less diluted. Also genital urine odor may have to do with urinary leakage as well. In order to make urine less odorous you should increase your fluid consumption such as water and juice. Vitamin C also helps. If you have urinary leakage see your urologist or gynecologist.
