hii dr. i just wanted to know the difference btween parenchymal pulmonary fibrosis..and interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. about the site of the lesion &the pathology .. & do they lead to the same symptoms? thanks alot
These terms are more or less equivilent and most commonly cause shortness of breath and/or cough. They refer to scar that builds up in the lung tissue itself (as opposed to the lining of the lung, called the pleura).
