Damaged vein07/06/2009 |
2 mnths ago had em appndctmy, now the vein on back of my hand at iv location is hard and my hand hurts when i use it. my surgury seems to be healing faster than the vein. Is this normal, should I b concerned?
This is likely inflammation of the vein wall called phlebitis. A warm compress and aspirin or advil will help speed its healing. Good luck!
