MY SISTER HAS HAD NUMB LIPS AND A NUMB TONGUE FOR THE PAST WEEK, SHE IS A DIABETIC, SHE IS OBIESE, AND A SMOKER. SHE HAS A DESK JOB, BUT IT IS STRESSFUL, SHE TAKES THYROIDE MEDS, AND SHE IS ALWAYS DIETING, THE MORE SHE DIETS, THE MORE WEIGHT SHE GAINS. WOULD YOU PLEASE BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS. THANK YOU.
It sounds as if your sister needs to be under the care of her physician. There is nothing in what you have said that would indicate a dental reason for the numbness. Have her see her physician as soon as possible.
