Frozen shoulder surgery

07/20/2009

Question:

what will the recovery time be surgery on a frozen shoulder, having both the manipulation + athorscopic... this is only 6 weeks after bicep tendon surgery, should I even have it done?

Answer:

Whether or not you should have it done should be a discussion you have with your surgeon.  He/she should be able to tell you more about the procedure.  Ask about the risks and benefits of having the surgery verses trying a more conservative approach.

In general, it can take 6 months to recover although you should be able to do normal activity (get on a sweatshirt or lift milk) much sooner.
