Red spot on tongue07/21/2009 |
I noticed this morning a little red spot on the surface of my tongue. I can feel a mild irritation there as well. Does this indiacte tongue cancer? I am 25 year old female. I`m an occassional smoker.Please advise.. Thanks.
We usually suspect cancer if a lesion persists more than several weeks. I recommend watchful observation; if it persists more than 1-2 weeks, then you should see an ENT surgeon.
