Crohn`s Disease and Oral Medications

08/26/2009

Question:

If someone has Crohn`s disease, what precaution should they observe with taking oral medications? Should they avoid taking oral medication as much as possible or only certain medication will aggrevate the condition? In general rule, what kind or class of medication should they avoid?

Answer:

I am not sure what oral medications you mean. No medications should worsen Crohn's disease except NSAIDs/ASA preparations. Your pharmacist may be more helpful.
