Shadow on my baby`s lung08/06/2009 |
my little boy had a chest x-ray yesterday the 29-7-09 he is only 7 months old and the x-ray came back as he had a shadow i cant remember what side but is their any information you could give me please
A "shadow" on a chest x-ray suggests that a somewhat solid area is present in an area where it is not expected to be. The most common reason for these "shadows" is a temporary problem like pneumonia. There are, however, many other causes of shadows. It is impossible to tell without looking at the X-ray what the shadow is on your child's X-ray. I suggest you call the doctor who ordered the test and ask for further information.
