Lung bullae08/24/2009 |
i have a left lung mass just anterior to heart wall measuring 3.5cm which looks like bullae from ct and xray.i m not a smoker.what should i do? the only risk factor i have is exposure to all disease as i m an orthopaedic surgeon.
It is beyond the scope of this forum to provide specific recommendations for diagnosis and treatment. I would suggest you consult with a pulmonologist to discuss further. The work-up/evaluation for a mass vs. a bullae is very different and I am unable to tell from your question which abnormality you have. As you know, a mass is a solid, radiodense appearing lesion and a bullae is a lucent, air-filled space. The differential diagnosis and appropriate work-up would depend upon which abnormality actually exists.
